Blackjack Basics – Part 1
The general concept of the card game is to be handed cards totaling up to 21. Each player is assigned 2 cards. When a gambler is dealt a 9 or less and an Ace they’ve been dealt a soft hand. When the black jack player is dealt no Ace cards it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been given to every player at the table, which includes the dealer, every player is provided the chance to make 1 of six choices:
Taking another card (Hit): When a blackjack player says "hit" the dealer will give him another card, if the adding of that card causes the total greater than twenty one the gambler will have busted and that is the end of the game, if the card pushes the total to 21 the black jack player is the winner and if the value of the hand has not yet achieved 21 they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you’ve been given: If a blackjack player is happy with the cards they will stay. As soon as this has happened the croupier will reveal his or her cards and the player who has gotten 21 or the closet to twenty one will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A blackjack player might request to double down which increases the bet by 100% they have laid. Once you have taken this action you can only receive one additional card. The details of doubling down are usually out lined by the blackjack table or betting house game rules so prior to betting make certain you are comfortable with the house established rules. If you’re playing at a web casino this is usually very simple.
